on Right To Life issues 

We are pleased to invite you to attend our annual Pastors Pro Life Rally on the east steps of the Madison County Court House in downtown Huntsville, 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 14. This will be a solemn time of prayer and reflection as we observe the 35rd anniversary of the infamous Roe versus Wade decision of the U.S. Supreme Court which has led to the killing of over 45,000,000 babies in our nation.

In my opinion there is only one reason why many unborn babies are not born. We have lost control of our government and it no longer represents the people.

All across the nation life chains will be built by Christians who will be making a visual solidarity statement to their communities that abortion is grievously wrong and that these Christians wish to support a ?Culture of Life? that includes respect for the life of the unborn. The Life Chain hour is from 2:30pm to 3:30pm, Sunday October 1. Life Chain is a time for prayerful self-analysis, repentance, and serious commitment to helping end abortion in our nation. During the Life Chain hour, idle chatter, frivolity, and both verbal and physical responses to motorists are strongly discouraged. Please contact your Pastor and ask him to actively encourage his congregation to participate.

American Liberty is based upon the recognition of God given individual rights, not on rights as determined by a government, whether it be federal, state or local. Today an unborn baby which has committed no crime has less protection of their rights and access to due process then a heinous murderer. This amendment if passed on referendum would restore American Liberty for the unborn which existed in our country through out most of its history.

I want to begin this column with one of my all-time favorite quotes. It comes from the great German reformer Martin Luther. He said, "If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved; and to be steady on all the battlefield besides is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point."

The following Action Alert distributed by Georgia Right to Life deserves our support. It is protecting a  pharmacist's right to conduct his professional duties within his moral and faith principles.

This bill is intended to require facilities that terminate the life of unborn babies to provide pregnant women an opportunity to view an ultrasound. As most are aware ultrasound facilities provide images of the unborn babies and a considerable amount of medical information about the status and health of the unborn baby.
